We call our thermal system SURROUND AIR ™: an exclusive network that distributes hot air evenly to every square inch of your package - including the bottom. SEAL-A-TRON ™ Shrink Tunnels feature quiet and adjustable blower motors, we callVARILOCETY ™. This infinite speed control of the large squirrel-cage fan allows for perfect airflow control to reduce "dog ears" and "crows feet". A unique baffling system enables the operator to adjust the airflow to the bottom of the package allowing even the lightest package to pass through the chamber. High wattage 3" diameters coiled long life Calrod heaters heat quickly and recover rapidly between the on/off cycle. We don't use high temp hook-up wire anywhere in our shrink tunnels and no electrical connections occur in the heated area. A solid state digital temperature controller with power switching regulates the tunnel heat reliably to ±2°F. When the machine is turned off, the cool-down cycle engages, disconnecting the heaters while the conveyor and blower continue to run until the tunnel chamber temperature has reached a safe level assuring long component life. High production and steady performance highlight the drive systems on all our shrink tunnels. They boast a heavy duty variable speed DC motor pulling 1/2"diameter rollers on a heavy duty #40 chain with a 3/4" long D# pin. Our standard silicone rubber covered rollers may be replaced with long-life Teflon covers. Check with your distributor or a
SEAL-A-TRON ™ representative regarding your particular application for additional details. By isolating the interior walls from the exterior walls, we achieved a substantially cooler tunnel exterior. KOOL TUCH ™, our latest innovation, allows for all exterior parts of the tunnel to be cool to the touch. The uniqueADJUSTA ™ Stand allows the operator to level the infeed height of the tunnel with the discharge height of the product take away conveyor of any sealer. Our specially designed optional exit conveyor with 40 1" aluminum rollers on a 1.5" center fits precisely at the end of the tunnel and allows even the lightest product to clear the tunnel.
